National Public Service Week Boycott

Sisters and Brothers:
In the context of the Harper Government budget and job cuts, and further to a member’s call to the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC), Sister Robyn Benson, National President of the PSAC, proposes a resolution to boycott all involvement in National Public Service Week scheduled to take place from June 10 to 16, 2012.
As National President of the Customs and Immigration Union (CIU), I invite our members to join this boycott.
We want to send a clear message of protest to both CBSA Management and Government. Together, we must draw attention to the services Public Service Employees provide to Canadians. The security of Canadians is CIU’s priority.
I invite all CIU members to focus their energy and resources toward mobilization efforts. Together, we have a strong voice.
