The Canadian Association of Labour Media is a network of union publications and editors that provides labour-friendly stories and graphics and training for labour communicators. The major affiliates of the Canadian Labour Congress set up CALM in 1976. In 1986 it launched its news and graphics services.
APSAR stands for: The Association of Public Service Alliance Retirees. This Association was created at the 1997 PSAC National Convention. APSAR is a member of the Congress of Union Retirees.
The National Coalition Against Contraband Tobacco is an organization dedicated to fighting the spread of illegal cigarettes in Canada. Founded by the Canadian Convenience Stores Association (CCSA), the Coalition is bringing together a wide variety of people and businesses all dedicated to fighting this growing problem.
The Canadian Peace Officers’ Memorial Association pays tribute to the fallen peace officers who have been killed in the performance of their duties. On the last Sunday in September each year, a Memorial Service is held on Parliament Hill honouring both fallen peace and police officers.
